Zentangle Diva’s Weekly Challenge #184 — Tangle “ING” by Molly Hollibaugh

by Suzanne Fluhr on September 12, 2014 · 8 comments

This week, the Diva challenged us to use the Zentangle tangle “ING“. I am way, way late to the link share this week, but I have a good excuse. Last Saturday, we left for Munich, Germany (from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) where my husband was speaking at the annual meeting of the European Respiratory Society — 25,000 pulmonary doctors and researchers from all over the world. So, I started the challenge there, but I resisted the urge to sit in our hotel room and tangle. Of course, I’m glad I did.

On Monday, we took the train to Salzburg, Germany for the day. There is certainly plenty of creative inspiration there. On Tuesday, I met up with a fellow Munich-based German travel blogger IRL (in real life) whom I had previously only known as an on-line friend. On Wednesday, we took the train to Vienna, Austria—another city just oozing artistic and musical creativity. Yesterday, it poured rain, so we stopped our traipsing around a few hours early and retreated to our hotel room where, after a restorative nap, I had the chance to finish my response to the challenge. I don’t think I did a great job of integrating the ING tangle seamlessly into my composition, but it’s there. Since I’m on the road, I couldn’t scan my creation. It’s actually on white paper. zentangle ING

I like your tile, great that you have drawn it in my neighbour country; I live in Holland. Also great that you had time to visit some beautiful, old Europian cities.

Thank you, Annemarie. Next year the same international conference will be in Amsterdam.
Now, all I have to do is to convince my husband that he needs to attend it.

How wonderful to be able to see some sights of the beautiful world around us. It sounds like you had your priorities straight. Even so, you did a very nice tile using a well done and well placed ING! I love the dimensional cube.

Love the cube, and for me (after reading your post) it is actually a travel bag šŸ™‚
ING is nicely integrated, and I like the front pane of the box, where I kept looking at the “poles” (bottom-left).
Munich, Saltzburg, Vienna – What a beautiful set of cities

Tomorrow, it’s on to Budapest with a 3 hour train ride. If the tracks are good, I might get some tangling in.
