This week, the Zentangle Diva, Laura Harms, returned to the challenge after a four week hiatus during which her son had eye surgery. Here’s hoping things continue to go well for young Artoo.
The challenge this week is to use the tangle Arukas by Molly Hollibaugh. It is also one I had tried before with disastrous less than spectacular results. However, this time I must have had an “aha moment” and I think I now understand how it works.
This particular tangle (Arukas) seems especially appropriate for the holiday season. For me, it conjures up representations of the Star of Bethlehem I have seen in religious art. As usual, I don’t know the names of all the tangles I reinvented used in my ZIA (Zentangle Inspired Art), but I’m pretty sure there are versions of germie, yuma, cubine and cadent.
