This week the Zentangle Diva challenged us to use the new official tangle, Molygon, in a tile. Oops. I did that last week for the “tangle within a tangle” challenge because I didn’t realize that Molygon had only been shared with Certified Zentangle Teachers at that point. So, to change things up a little, this time I used some color in my Molygon and added some perfs. I really like Molygon.

Last weekend’s Blizzard of 2016 is already largely history thanks to unseasonably warm weather. It’s supposed to be 63 freakish degrees F. (17.22 degrees celsius) here in Philadelphia on Wednesday. I admit I don’t mind not having to bundle up against frost bite when I walk the dog, but I wouldn’t mind a significant dip in temperature so I can feel very lucky to be heading to Florida and Hawaii next week.
Speaking of traveling to Florida and Hawaii, this means traveling without our largish cockapoo, Dino, which prompted me to submit a blog post to the Huffington Post about traveling without one’s dog. I’m happy to say they made it a featured blog post. If you are so inclined, you can read it here.

I am so glad HQ released Molygon to everyone. After seeing yours last week I so wanted to be able to draw it. I do like the version you did this week with all the different fillings. I love the way Molygon just grows and grows.
Congratulations on getting your article into the Huffington Post, quite a feit! I am afraid I am not a dog lover myself having been bitten three times by dogs. The second time was right after the owner said ‘Oh he won’t hurt you’!
Oh dear. That’s horrible about the dog bites. Our dog is so good natured that I’m afraid I’ve been lulled into thinking dogs are benign. (When I say “good natured”, I mean unless you try to take something he thinks is edible out of his mouth (i.e. pencils, batteries, razors). Then, all bets are off.
I love your molygon with the tipple and shattuck fills :). We are on a re-homing puppy list at the moment. I cant wait to get a dog and for our children to grow up with it being their best friend 🙂

Oh, this is lovely…I love your multicolored Tipple on the bottom right ^_^ Molygon is a wonderful tangle, so fun and I can’t wait to play with it more. …After I finish all my homework. School is stifling…but I enjoy it anyways, and luckily looking at wonderful art takes much less time than creating wonderful art! ^_^

I would have to disagree with Daniel’s comment. I spend so much time on looking & admiring everyones beautiful creations that I sometimes don’t leave enough time for tangling.

Hmmm. I would use that on a ceramic tile to decorate a wall in rooms. You have several I like that way! We have 75 degree weather and I’m totally bummed because my flowering trees don’t know what to do. They’re trying to bloom and I’m thinking, “Guys stop that. We’ll have another frost and you MUST live through that!” This happened once before since we moved here – ugh. I like it and I hate it!

Very pretty with the color and fill. I think Molygon is a very versatile tangle. We have a dog, cat, and bird and are so very lucky that we have an unemployed friend who moves in whenever we go somewhere. Our pets call him “uncle” and love having him stay because he plays with them, feeds them junk, and lets them break all the rules 🙂
As soon as I saw the Challenge this week I thought of you and last week’s piece. I wondered how you would top it but you did,or, at least, equalled it. Dogs? Nah. They poo and pee and cause smells and then make you fall in love with them. I just baby sit my daughter’s pooch one day a week, that’s enough for me.
Your Molygon is gorgeous! And so sorry that Dino cannot make the trip with you. But I’m impressed that you are published in Huffington! I haven’t been able to get that done myself! It was a good article… safe travels:)

Nice work. I think Molygon will be a popular tangle just because of the possible multiple variations. The touch of color adds a lot to the tile.
