The Zentangle® Diva’s Weekly Challenge #182 — “Stripes”

by Suzanne Fluhr on August 26, 2014 · 7 comments

This is my second trying the Zentangle® Diva’s weekly challenge. The cue word was “Stripes”.

I worked on this one while feeling very sad for a friend who lost his beloved golden retriever, Phoenix, that morning.

I tried starting with a string, planning to use stripes going in different directions for each section. I think that “vision” got lost a bit where I used the “Munchin” tangle at a curved section. I traced a 4′ x 4″ square for the “tile”.  I used only black micron pens and a #2 HB pencil. I’m not sure why that sepia tone shows up in the photo. When I have access to a scanner, I’ll try that to record my image.

I am wishing for courage and peace for my friend.

Warning: Tangling is definitely habit forming.

This is wonderful, great contrast. Each tangle enhances the next.

Thanks, Daniele. I’m a relative newbie tangler, so I appreciate the opinion of a CZT.

Like the complexity and contrast on this one. Technology is great, but when it decides to do its own thing it can be exasperating.
